Our Story

I’m Sarah, the owner and farmer here at Garden Valley Flower Farm. Flowers have been a part of my life since the very beginning. I grew up on a flower farm in central Ohio (elevation 971’—not a flatlander, thank you very much!) and some of my earliest memories are hanging out with my mom in a greenhouse attached to my parent’s first home, I believe that Mother Nature created flowers as a way to give us all permission to be a little luxurious, to indulge in their scent, and to revel in their exquisite beauty. I believe that seeking out things that make us feel wonderful is the ultimate goal in this life. There really isn’t anything quite like farm grown flowers, they just make you feel good.

The farm is located on 10 gorgeous acres in the small Sierra foothill community of Garden Valley. We grow specialty cut flowers using sustainable methods so we can bring the most natural, seasonal, fresh, and sustainable cut flowers to this small community. I live on site with my partner Brian and a few cats.
